Rev. Tom Ndanu

Tom Akuetteh Ndanu is a Research Fellow at the University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry. He has been involved in research since 1991, working with the Department of Nutrition and Food Science and later with the Department of Medicine of the Medical School of the University of Ghana, conducting research into non-communicable diseases. In 2002 he joined the School of Dentistry first as Part-Time lecturer in Nutrition and Oral Health and in 2006 became a Research Fellow at the Department of Community and Preventive Dentistry. Tom’s research interest has been in diet and oral health and lately in child obesity and oral health. Has also been involved in facilitating the training of Post Graduate students in Research Methods and Biostatistics at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. In April this year he submitted a PhD thesis to the Department of Nutrition and Food Science, University of Ghana. He is currently a Trustee of the African Nutrition Society.
